JOE DORIA SCHOLARSHIP

Joe Doria
JOE DORIA MEMORIAL SKI/SNOWBOARD LESSON SCHOLARSHIP

After his death in 2007, the family and friends of Joe Doria, a long time employee of Middlebury College, established a fund in Joe’s memory. Since Joe spent 30 plus years working at the Snow Bowl in both the snack bar and ticket office, and because he derived such great pleasure from his daily contact with the countless children there, a scholarship fund has been established to help deserving kids be introduced to the sports of skiing or snowboarding. Beginning in the winter of 2007-08, two scholarships to the Snow Bowl’s Winter Series lesson program will be awarded annually. These scholarships will cover participation in the series of six ski or snowboard lessons as well as use of Snow Bowl rental equipment during the lessons. The scholarships are available to children in second through eighth grades. For more information, call 443-7605 and ask for the Snow School or e-mail sbsc@middlebury.edu.

Deadline for Application Dec. 19, 2016
