Good morning skiers and riders! The new Discovery Trail is the highlight of our learning area in the Discovery Zone; with a nice gentle slope curving you right back around to the magic carpet, this is the perfect progression to the slightly steeper Discovery Zone area to prepare anyone to tackle all the mountain has to offer. The best part? Our Discovery Zone is completely free and does not require a day ticket!
Today, we’ll see a high near 39, cloudy skies, and a 60% chance of rain but it’s not really supposed to effect us until after 5pm. Southeast winds 11 to 14 mph are predicted to gust as high as 24 mph. Our groomers are laying down some of the best corduroy around, so today we’ll have machine groomed and packed powder surfaces. 6 lift serviced trails will be open today including the new discovery trail off the magic carpet Discovery Zone learning area, and the new Sheehan Quad will have 4 trails that are still skiing fantastic!
Uphill skiers can continue to access additional terrain on natural surfaces, but please be aware that snowmaking and natural hazards exist, so please ski with a partner. Uphill New England pass holders please check-in with the QR codes located throughout the routes. If you’re interested in an uphill multi-pass, checkout https://www.uphillnewengland.org to purchase and be sure to indicate Middlebury Snowbowl as your home mountain.
CAFE: Open daily at 8:30am, our cafe serves up a fantastic array of housemade foods including breakfast, homemade soups, smash burgers from local Cornwall Cattle Co., Black Bean burgers from VT Bean Crafters, handcut fries, and local beers to top it all off!
SOUP: Vegetarian Black Bean with crispy tortilla strips or Indiana Chicken Wing
SPECIALS: BBQ Brisket with coleslaw or Loaded Chicken Nachos
See ya on the slopes!
