It’s Groundhog Day!

Good morning powder seekers! Today is one of the most important days of our entire winter; will there be more winter or are we destined to pull out the golf clubs early and hit the Ralph? Well, in the spirit of the great Punxsutawney Phil, “if you want a prediction about the weather, you’re asking the wrong Phil” but we can tell you what the predictions are and it’s another quote that sounds like a Groundhog Day every day… “a slight chance of snow showers before 11am, then a slight chance of freezing drizzle. Cloudy, with a high near 30. North wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.” On another note, the Ross opened today and will be open through Saturday, adding one more trail to our count as we wait to see what Phil will predict for the rest of our season! We will be spinning the Worth Mtn., for the day with Sheehan and the Disco Carpet through the evening for all of our friends skiing/riding 20 trails.

Please make note, this Saturday we have our annual February graduate ski down in the afternoon and the Sheehan lift will close late morning for the event. We are expecting large crowds as this is the largest Feb grad class in history! We will be open to the public on the Worth Mountain side for skiing but will be limiting access to the lodge for fire code reasons, so please plan accordingly!

It’s Official – Feb Grad Ski Down at the Bowl!

Good morning skiers and riders! A tradition since 1986, February grads have been skiing down in their caps and gowns at the Bowl for a very unique Middlebury experience. This year will be no exception and next Saturday, you too can witness a pretty incredible opportunity for these young adults who have worked so hard to keep the tradition alive! In the meantime, our groomers are hard at work getting our soggy, then kinda frozen, then probably frozen, surfaces ready for a great day of skiing today! Worth Mtn., Sheehan and the Disco Carpet will be operating normal hours with 12 trails to get us started. Please keep in mind, some of our trails could be on weather delay while Patrol assesses each one of them, so be patient with us while we get our work completed so you can have a fantastic day on the hill.

Snow is likely late in the afternoon with cloudy skies with a high near 31 and light northeast wind will be the weather situation.
