Weather Delay – Sheehan Open at Noon

What can we say folks, this year’s Vermont weather just keeps on giving and today is no exception, but rest assured, our team is already hard at work assessing the situation. POWER = GOOD, WIND/RAIN = BAD… BUT OUR TEAM IS HARD AT WORK ON THE MOUNTAIN AND WE WILL HAVE THE SHEEHAN LIFT SPINNING AT NOON TODAY. Stay tuned here, on our mobile app (search Ski Middlebury in your app store) or our social channels, and we will be updating you as our team relays information from the mountain.

Weather for the remainder of the day looks like more snow, more wind, and a high around 35 degrees. Winds are predicted to remain steady with gusts up to 65mph during the day. We are under high wind warnings until 11am, so please stay tuned here on our website and our mobile app for updates on delays and possible closures.

Due to the wind/rain driven snow conditions the uphill route will today will be the Sheehan side ONLY.

Hope to see ya on the slopes!

Not quite yet our dear friends, but we’re stoked to have it spinning for you starting Saturday morning! New snow means new trails, and to get us excited for what may be to come, we’ve added Game Trail and Hadley… Patrol will continue to inspect the mountain for new openings when Worth starts spinning! We hope you plan to join us for our apres-ski series today with local musician Bruce Costello from 4-6:30pm in front of the fireplace.

16” of new snow in the past week will start us off with 8 trails open today! Partly sunny skies, 30 degrees, and northwest wind around 6 mph will become light and variable in the afternoon. We are under high wind warnings again overnight tonight, so please stay tuned here on our website and our mobile app for updates on possible closures or delays Saturday.

Uphill routes are allowed, but please look for closed signs and stay away from areas with grooming or snowmaking present.

Après-Friday!

Good morning skiers and riders! Not only did Mother Nature drop some big beautiful flakes on us yesterday, our snowmakers are at it again on the Allen making a little snow of our own! Today,
we’ll see sunny skies with a high near 19 and wind chill values as low as -20. Northwest winds 24 to 31 mph will make it quite brisk, but not to worry, this is the weather our snowmakers thrive in. It’s finally time to dust off those winter coats and come lay down some turns at the Bowl with a broad range of difficulty for all skiing/riding abilities, including our Discovery Zone learning area and 6 lift serviced trails. The Cameron will have ski teams training until 10am. Unfortunately, we are not allowing uphill skinning at this time due to the loss of natural snow on our routes but you are welcome to hike.

Be sure to hang around after your runs this afternoon, or come early for night skiing, for local musicians, Granville Daze, as they liven up the lodge for our Friday après series from 4-6:30pm today!
