We have your last minute shopping covered, and you get some turns in!

Good morning skiers and riders! Unlike the Griswold’s entering the forest for their Christmas tree without any tools, the Snowbowl has all of the tools you need for your last minute holiday shopping and you can get some turns in while doing it! Snow Sampler Cards that give you 3 days at the Bowl and 2 days at Rikert Outdoor Center for fat biking, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing; a Snow Share Card that allows anyone you love four days at the Bowl without blackouts, or a pretty incredible line up of skis, hats, gloves, or Snowbowl outerwear from our Ski Shop; who else has you covered with all of the tools you need to put gifts under the tree?! So instead of worrying about Uncle Lewis burning down that hard earned Christmas tree with his cigar, get some easy turns in at the Bowl and give the gift that every skier in your family is truly looking for; a gift that keeps on giving from the Middlebury Snowbowl!

With some pretty incredible efforts from our Mountain Ops Team, Kelton and Lower Kelton will reopen today under partly mostly cloudy skies and a high near 29 with a southwest wind 18 to 20 mph. 6 lift serviced trails with 2 lifts getting you there. Lifts will turn for our normal weekend hours with the Sheehan Quad from 8:30am – 4pm and the Disco Carpet from 10am – 3pm. Don’t forget, the Discovery Zone is free, yup, completely free(!) and features our new Discovery Trail. Uphill skinning is still not advised at this time due to the loss of natural snow on our routes.

Please note: The Snowbowl will close at 2:00pm Sunday, Christmas Eve and will be closed on Monday, Christmas Day.

To top it all off, if you join us for night skiing tonight, you just might get a glimpse of a sleigh with a few reindeer streaking through our Vermont sky on it’s way to get loaded up for the special day! Our lifts will be turning from 9am – 8:45pm tonight before we start settling in for our own holiday weekend.

We send out many Vermont Strong thoughts of support to all of our friends and neighboring ski areas that suffered some setbacks due to yet another historic rain event earlier this week. Scattered flurries early this morning then beautiful sunny skies this afternoon with a high near 20. North winds today 10 to 13 mph, gusting as high as 23 mph.
