Power Is Back And So Are We!

Good morning Powder Hounds! Looks like all is well on the mountain this morning and we will be back to normal operations today! New snow is allowing us to open new trails and this morning we have added Game Trail and Hadley… stay tuned for more as Patrol inspects the mountain! Night skiing will be on this evening and if you aren’t able to make it today, plan to join us tomorrow for our apres-ski series with local musician Bruce Costello.

We received 5-6” of super heavy wet snow from the storm and have 8 trails open today! We have light snow this morning with scattered snow showers throughout the day. High near 31 and west wind 9 to 15 mph predicted with a total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Our plan is to run the Disco Carpet and the Sheehan to get us started. Uphill will be allowed, but please look for closed signs and stay away from areas with grooming or snowmaking present.

Après-Friday!

Good morning skiers and riders! Not only did Mother Nature drop some big beautiful flakes on us yesterday, our snowmakers are at it again on the Allen making a little snow of our own! Today,
we’ll see sunny skies with a high near 19 and wind chill values as low as -20. Northwest winds 24 to 31 mph will make it quite brisk, but not to worry, this is the weather our snowmakers thrive in. It’s finally time to dust off those winter coats and come lay down some turns at the Bowl with a broad range of difficulty for all skiing/riding abilities, including our Discovery Zone learning area and 6 lift serviced trails. The Cameron will have ski teams training until 10am. Unfortunately, we are not allowing uphill skinning at this time due to the loss of natural snow on our routes but you are welcome to hike.

Be sure to hang around after your runs this afternoon, or come early for night skiing, for local musicians, Granville Daze, as they liven up the lodge for our Friday après series from 4-6:30pm today!

An Ode to Snowmakers!

Happy New Year skiers and riders! On this day of reflection, resolution, and hope for the year to come, here’s a little Ode to Snowmakers from one of our very own that keep us on the snow no matter the conditions:

Snowmaking is defined as the creation of artificial snow at ski areas. “Ice Coasters” as we call ourselves, know that it means so much more.

While we can’t do what we do without every single member of our team, we owe it to the men and women that keep winter alive, and doing what we love; skiing. The snowguns have come back to life on our beloved Allen from top to bottom in a big effort to get the Worth Mountain lift spinning.

Today, scattered snow showers before noon. Mostly cloudy to start, then sunny with a high near 19. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph. We’re skiing 6 lift serviced trails, with a broad range of difficulty for all skiing/riding abilities, including our Discovery Zone learning area. Unfortunately, we are not allowing uphill skinning at this time due to the loss of natural snow on our routes but you are welcome to hike.

Don’t forget to pick up a punchcard when you load the TVT “Bus to the Bowl” to earn rewards throughout the season. Find more details here: https://www.middleburysnowbowl.com/ride-to-win/

Please note: We will be open today 8:30am – 4pm and CLOSED 01/02 as we head back in to our regular operating schedule. Holiday prices are in effect through 01/01.

CAFE: Open daily at 8:30am, our cafe serves up a fantastic array of housemade foods including breakfast, homemade soups & salads, sandwiches, smash burgers from local Cornwall Cattle Co., Black Bean burgers from VT Bean Crafters, handcut fries, and of course, the famous Snowbowl Chili with an array of local beers to top it all off!

Ringing in the New Year!

Good morning skiers and riders! Wow, seeing the new snow yesterday as we head into the final celebration of the year truly gives us high hopes for the year to come! Quite the day we had on the mountain yesterday as the temps dropped and we carved across some pretty stellar conditions with those sparkly little dendrites we mentioned yesterday. The snow machines are cranking and the smiles are wide seeing the snow blowing from top to bottom on the Allen. We’re wishing everyone a safe and happy new year’s eve as we all head into the new year!

Today, we’ll see mostly sunny skies with a high near 23 and a west wind 10 to 16 mph. We’re still skiing 5 lift serviced trails, with a broad range of difficulty for all skiing/riding abilities, including our Discovery Zone learning area. Unfortunately, we are not allowing uphill skinning at this time due to the loss of natural snow on our routes but you are welcome to hike.

Don’t forget to pick up a punchcard when you load the TVT “Bus to the Bowl” to earn rewards throughout the season as you fill them up. All cards turned in to us will be entered into our end-of-season raffle for a free season pass next year to either the Bowl or Rikert!
