Good morning skiers and riders! We send out many Vermont Strong thoughts of support to all of our friends and neighboring ski areas that suffered some setbacks due to yet another historic rain event earlier this week. We made it through again with very little loss and with a little help from our Mountain Ops Team, are proud to be spinning the lifts for you this week! Today we will be open for day & night skiing from 9am – 9pm!
Scattered flurries early this morning then beautiful sunny skies this afternoon with a high near 20. North winds today 10 to 13 mph, gusting as high as 23 mph. Our snowmakers have been hard at work to keep us on the snow and protect us as much as they can from any future rain events by laying down an extra layer of protection on the trails off the Sheehan Chair so we can stay open. Today we’ll be riding machine groomed and packed powder surfaces with 5 lift serviced trails to start the day including the new discovery trail off the magic carpet Discovery Zone learning area. Kelton was delayed yesterday, but is expected to open later today, which will bring us back up to 6 trails open.
Uphill skinning is not advised at this time due to the loss of natural snow on our routes.
CAFE: Open daily at 8:30am, our cafe serves up a fantastic array of housemade foods including breakfast, homemade soups, smash burgers from local Cornwall Cattle Co., Black Bean burgers from VT Bean Crafters, handcut fries, and local beers to top it all off!
SOUP: Clam Chowder, Vegan Vegetable, and of course, the famous Snowbowl Chili!
Special: Grilled Ham/Cheese OR Grilled Turkey/Cheese both served with/without caramelized onions!
See ya on the slopes!
