Winter Storm Watch Wednesday!

Good morning powder pursuers! That’s right, looks like another serendipitous Wednesday for us! Forecasts are predicting another soft fluffy day here at the Bowl on 19 of our finest trails serviced by 3 lifts. Snow will switch into freezing rain sometime in the afternoon with high near 34 and gusty southeast winds around 11 mph.

Fist Bump Your Lift Mechanic Today!

Good morning powder hounds! We always throw out accolades to our tireless snowmaking crew for keeping us on snow in the worst of conditions, but today our hats go off to our lift mechanics who have tirelessly spent hours upon hours chasing down an electrical issue on the Worth Mtn. Chair and have solved the mystery! Worth Mtn. will spin today with a little powder from yesterday’s continuing stream of the white stuff placed freshly on top of those 11 accessible trails! Sheehan and the Disco Carpet will also spin at their scheduled times with 19/25 open trails.

The cold continues to grip New England, but there’s a reason Vermonter’s are the toughest (not to mention the best!) skiers around. Sunny skies will shine on us today with a high near 11 and wind chill values around -13. That’s balmy my friends compared to the past couple of days, so pick up a new Snowbowl buff and some hand/toe warmers in our ski shop, grab a cup of Snowbowl Chili in the cafe to warm your soul, and don’t miss out on some of the best skiing of the season so far!

Could It Be Even More Snow?!

Good morning powder hounds! Wow! What a day we had at the Bowl yesterday with DJ Serena Kim in the house! DJ Serena had the lodge thumpin’ and brought down the house for our first Unlikely Riders/MiddFire event! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for all of our apres-ski sessions every Friday during night skiing. Worth Mtn., Sheehan, and the Disco Carpet will spin at their scheduled times with 19 trails open.

We’ve got a 50% chance of snow for today with around a foot more in our 10 day forecast, so keep those snow dances going, they’re working! It’s going to be cloudy and cold today with a high near 5 and windy, with wind chill values as low as -23. So bundle up, put in your toe warmers and get up here to get some turns in with us to kick off your weekend.

Apres Sessions Elevated!

Good morning powder seekers! We’re still riding the powder train here at the Bowl with nearly 2 feet of POW over the past two weeks and today will be no exception! The annual Ski Bum League kicks off today on the Allen to get things started, Middlebury College employees join us for their annual ski day, MiddFire and Unlikely Riders will be rippin’ around the slopes with us, and DJ Serena Kim will elevate our apres session tonight in the lodge from 5-9pm!

Worth Mtn., Sheehan, and the Disco Carpet will spin at their scheduled times with 19 trails open. It’ll be a little warmer today too with cloudy skies and a high near 13, but wind chill values will only be around -5.

Today we’ll have a slight chance of snow showers again with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 18. Wind chill values will be cold again around -9 and a breezy west wind 13 to 16 mph.

Celebrating MLK!

We are open for MLK day, and in honor of the great leader, today we will tie one of his famous quotes to our beloved sport in hopes that it inspires someone to visit our little gem of a ski area and try something new with us. “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” While this quote is in no way related to snow sports, sometimes getting the courage up to try something new takes a little faith and our entire team here at the Bowl can help you find the staircase to a world of winter sports. Our Discovery Zone is completely free to come try something new and we welcome you to take the first step with us. While this part isn’t free, our professional snow sports instructors can show you just how amazing this sport can be for you.

Worth Mtn., Sheehan, and the Disco Carpet will all turn at their scheduled times with 15 trails to get us started. Mostly sunny skies with a high around 13 today with wind chill values around -12. Be on the lookout for additional terrain to continue opening as Patrol assess each trail!

WORTH MTN. – NEED WE SAY MORE?!

Wow, what a day we had AGAIN yesterday… there’s a reason New England skiers are tough as nails, and this weather has proved it time and time again this season! While the weather may have delayed opening the Worth Mtn. Chair, have no fear because our fearless team is determined to make it happen! We are expecting to open Worth Mtn., Sheehan, and the Disco Carpet all at their scheduled times with 11 trails to get us started. Worth Mtn. Chair will be open to expert skiers only to begin and be on the lookout for additional terrain opening as Patrol assess each trail.

Another couple inches of snow yesterday from the storm made for a beautiful day on the mountain bringing our total snowfall for the week to 18” and it looks like 2-4” more snow might drop on us today! 20 degrees with gusty southwest winds and wind chill values as low as -7 again proves why some of the toughest skiers in the country ski the East!

Do I Hear Worth Mountain Spinning?

Not quite yet our dear friends, but we’re stoked to have it spinning for you starting Saturday morning! New snow means new trails, and to get us excited for what may be to come, we’ve added Game Trail and Hadley… Patrol will continue to inspect the mountain for new openings when Worth starts spinning! We hope you plan to join us for our apres-ski series today with local musician Bruce Costello from 4-6:30pm in front of the fireplace.

16” of new snow in the past week will start us off with 8 trails open today! Partly sunny skies, 30 degrees, and northwest wind around 6 mph will become light and variable in the afternoon. We are under high wind warnings again overnight tonight, so please stay tuned here on our website and our mobile app for updates on possible closures or delays Saturday.
